We meet in Heaton Moor Park every Friday morning from 10:00 till 12:00. If it's warm we sit outside but usually we're in the pavilion at the Peel Moat Rd/ Buckingham Rd corner.
We have beginners and quite experienced knitters and offer a warm welcome.
You can come to knit or just for a chat and cuppa. We have refreshments at 11:00 which are free but we do ask for a donation for the Friends of Heaton Moor Park who always have projects that need funding.
In our first year, we raised enough for a park bench which we will use when weather permits.
Come and join us!

I am a fairly new member of this group and thoroughly enjoy and look forward to my Friday knit and natter. I have been knitting since childhood and have already learnt some new tricks, and more importantly for me met some lovely ladies. If you are in need of some relaxation and a cuppa do join us.
Last October I made a life changing decision - well maybe a little exaggeration! I joined a group of lovely ladies who meet every Friday morning in Heaton Moor Park to knit, chat, eat biscuits and more importantly laugh! I have been a knitter for fifty years yet have learnt so many hints and tips - if one of us has a problem with a project then we all put our heads together and believe me it gets solved one way or another.
I really cannot stress enough if you feel shy or nervous about joining a group please dont - do what I did - I stood outside, took and deep breath, then walked in to a warm welcome not only from Krisha who runs the group but from all the other ladies.
