copy rolex watches WESTPORT, Conn. – A man and woman from the Bronx, N.Y., were arrested on identity theft and other charges in Westport on Thursday after a Rolex watch was purchased from a Westport jewelry store using fake identification, police said.
rolex submariner replica At about 1 p.m., officers were called to the jewelry store on a report of a suspicious person inside, police said. When detectives arrived, they saw Njeri Bowen, 25, using what appeared to be a fake New Jersey driver’s license to purchase a Rolex, the arrest report said.
rolex After learning the identification was a fake, the detectives followed Bowen out of the store to a waiting vehicle, which was stopped a short way away, police said.
rolex Yacht-Master II Police recovered the Rolex watch from Bowen and found she was also in possession of another fake driver’s license and a fraudulent credit card, the arrest report said.
Both Bowen and the driver, Michael Simmons, 24, were arrested. They were each charged with second-degree larceny; two counts of first-degree identity theft; criminal impersonation; three counts of third-degree forgery; conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny; conspiracy to commit identity theft; conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation; and conspiracy to commit third-degree forgery.
Bowen was additionally charged with interfering with a police officer and tampering with evidence.
Bowen and Simmons were each held on $50,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Nov. 14.
It was later discovered that Bowen was wanted by Norwalk police on a warrant for failure to appear on similar charges, police said. She was held on an additional $10,000 bond on the failure to appear charge and was set to appear in court on the same day.
