Lewiston’s Isaiah Harris goes into the meet as the man to beat in the 800 meters. The junior scorched the Class A field last weekend with a time of 1:52.96.
Shelby Strickland of Kennebunk is seeded first in the high jump at 5 feet, 6 inches, along with Ellen DiPietro of Marshfield, Massachusetts. Massabesic’s Haley Bantz, Rashad Zagon of Deering, Gorham’s Erin Esty and Emma Egan of Yarmouth are among several jumpers seeded at 5-4.

Tasker welcomes the challenge after being a pace-setter most of this year.
“It’s basically been me and the clock and that’s been my biggest struggle, competing against myself and finding the inner motivation to keep getting better,” she said after her effort at the Class A state meet.
